With the weather changing and autumn around the corner, the change in season can cause some damage to your hair.
But don't panic, as we have some expert advice to help you protect your hair:
Hydrate your hair
Summer can leave hair dry and brittle so you're already going into autumn with some work to do. Give your hair some TLC by having a weekly hair mask, or buy a leave-in conditioner that adds moisture to damaged hair.
Get rid of split ends
It might be tempting to grow your hair longer in autumn to keep warm, but if you have split ends this can cause thinning and fraying. Once you have them, the only answer is to chop them off, so if you want healthy hair this season, book in for your next haircut.
Soothe your scalp
It's quite common to have a flaky scalp as the weather gets colder because of changes in temperature, diet and increased stress levels. Eating vitamin D rich foods like salmon and mackerel, or taking supplements, can give your hair a much needed boost.
